Sopp Chevrolet is the oldest family owned Chevy dealership, west of the Mississippi River. Here are some interesting facts about the Sopp Chevrolet history.
1922 - The original Sopp Chevrolet located at 201 Pacific Blvd in Huntington Park was built.
1929 - It was quickly outgrown and a new larger dealership was built at 5800 Pacific Blvd. The facility was state of the art for its time.
1946 - Maurice J. Sopp brought his son Kenneth Sopp into the business.
1972 - Randy Sopp (Maurice's Grandson) was given part ownership and became the dealer in 1978.
1988 - An unfortunate fire destroyed the building. Within a few months it moved to its current location.
2003 - Ken Sopp (Maurice's Great Grandson) became part owner and plans to carry on the family tradition.
